Science Museum Group – Monotype collection survey

Call for participation

As many will already know, the Monotype collections of the Type Archive, which closed in 2022, are now held by the Science Museum Group (which includes the Science Museum in South Kensington, London).

Two years on, the Science Museum Group has commissioned Cultural Associates Oxford to explore the next chapter for the Monotype Collection by means of a short survey. How might new generations use the Collection? How might it inspire creative practice? How might it contribute to teaching and research? The Science Museum Group wants to hear the views of people working, teaching or interested in typography, graphic design, social and technological history and other related areas. The survey asks about potential interest in the Monotype Collection and how it might best be made accessible and engaging to others.
