Registration is now open for the 2025 ATF Conference hosted by the C.C. Stern Type Foundry in Clatskanie, Oregon. Dates are July 31-August 3.
The schedule of events, accommodation information, registration form, and the call for proposals are all posted on the website of the C.C. Stern Typefoundry. More details will be added as we they become available.
Accommodation
The Clatskanie River Inn in downtown Clatskanie has held a block of 20 rooms for ATF Conference attendees. To reserve a room, call the hotel at +1(503)728-9000, and let them know you are attending the American Typecasting Fellowship Conference to receive a 10% discount off the room rates.
Other hotels are available in Astoria, OR and Longview/Kelso, WA. There are also a number of campgrounds and AirBnB accommodations available near Clatskanie.
Registration and fees
The registration fee for the conference is $175 per person. This includes presentations and technical sessions, tabling space at the Swap Meet and Letterpress Fair, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, and snacks/light meals on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Guest dinners at evening events are $25 per person.

Call for Presentations
We are looking for speakers to give 20-45 minute presentations as part of the conference. Past subjects have included historical research related to type founding, recent engraving or casting projects, typographical history, ‘how-to’ and machine restoration. There is space in the program for significant collection-holders to provide updates on their preservation efforts. Please click here for details and to submit a proposal.
