Renovated gallery now open for New impressions exhibit

The gallery has undergone a much-needed renovation! We removed a ton of metal pipes and hangers from the ceiling, cleaned the industrial grime and painted it. The wooden deck was removed and we filled the trough that was in the floor and levelled. We will give the floor an industrial cleaning and put a clear finish on it between the next installation for Q3. This way, we will we keep the industrial “patina.”

Our current exhibit is New Impressions, an international juried exhibition to showcase exploration and creativity with letterpress printing techniques. This call attracted 253 diverse entries from around the globe. The final 41 works on display are from artists in Brazil, Italy, Japan, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States. The exhibition is on display at Hamilton from April 8–June 30, 2022 with the reception and awards on May 21.
