The Leipzig Typotage

This year the 23rd edition of the Leipzig Typotage will take place on May 13. The one-day conference in the Leipzig printing museum will be devoted to the subject of ‘Writing and knowledge’. Seven speakers have been invited to approach the conference theme from different angles. The speakers include: Tobias-David Albert (Leipzig), Marcel Henry (Basel), Lisa Neuhalfen (Berlin), Michael Schlierbach (Raubling), Jürgen Spitzmüller (Vienna) and Werner J. Wolff (Berlin).

​​Friday May 12 at 7 pm, the Typotage 2017 will open with a talk by Jost Hochuli about the typographer Jan Tschichold in the exhibition Tschichold in St. Gallen (5 March to 14 May 2017, Museum für Druckkunst Leipzig).

On Sunday 14th May, there will be a typographical tour, a letterpress workshop and a guided tour of the Museum of Printing.
