The first International Senefelder Prize was awarded 50 years ago. To mark this anniversary, some of the most important lithographs from that time to the present will be exhibited this summer at the Haus der Stadtgeschichte in Offenbach (the City’s history museum). The selection pays particular attention to the first prize winner, Christian Kruck, who, with his self-developed technique of ‘lithography-painting’, paved the way for experimental artistic lithography.
The exhibition will open on July 4, 2025, and will run until August 8, 2025. It is not only of interest to the regional public but is primarily intended to appeal to the national and international professional community.
This year, the International Senefelder Foundation has a special offer: it is offering lithographic stones from its own collection at a discounted price. For visitors to the exhibition in Offenbach, we can offer stones for €10 each. They are free for members of the Foundation’s Friends Association (FISS). However, if you are interested, please register in advance.
We also hope that some of the lithographic activists we know well will be able to meet and greet us again on this occasion.
